Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly), is a rap artist who has a unique style. Baker was born 22 April 1990 in Houston Texas U.S. into the family of English Scottish and German descent. As a child, he spent a great amount of time travelling along with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker battled depression as well as joblessness. His mother Sonia Alane dumped him at age nine. Baker's father moved along with Baker to Denver and they lived at the home of his aunt. Baker's lack of resources was a reason for bullying by kids who were around him. He began listening to rap when he was in sixth grade. Colson Kelly was born Machine Gun Kelly on April 22, 1989 in Texas. He is best known for his hip hop infused with rock and contemporary alternative. Baker produced four mixtapes before signing to Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. The Cleveland rapper who penned lyrics at the pace that of a fast bullet saw an explosion of popularity when 2011 was the year he made the switch from self-released tracks to well-known labels. His career took off from there, with all of his albums reaching the top ten charts.
